There are several ways to donate to The Open Door Food Pantry

 

  • Contribute physical items.

Contribute food and personal care items (see Most Needed Items). Donations may be dropped off at the pantry on Mondays and Wednesdays from 10:00 AM-12:00 PM and Thursdays from 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM.

  • ​Make a tax-deductible monetary contribution.

Checks may be made payable to "The Open Door" and mailed to: 

The Open Door of Perquimans County PO Box 721 Hertford, NC 27944.

  • Support The Open Door fundraisers.

The Open Door sponsors several annual fundraising programs, such the Walk for Hunger in September, Thanksgiving Turkey Drop, Jail-A-Thon (co-sponsored with the Perquimans Sheriff's Department) and monthly Food Lion Cash Card Program. Volunteers and Participants are needed for all these events.​ New this year - Casino Night sponsored by the Perquimans Co Chamber of Commerce.

 

  • Have your organization plan a fundraiser or food drive for The Open Door, such as Scouting for Food and HGS/PCMS Beta Club Food Drives.

 

  • Support through your estate planning.
