The Open Door Food Pantry of Perquimans County will soon have a new location
October 26, 2022 - The Open Door of Perquimans County plans to move to a larger facility to better serve the residents of Perquimans County. The Open Door Food Pantry entered into a strategic partnership with Food Bank of the Albemarle in 2022 to support the efforts of the pantry in increasing capacity to further reduce food insecurity and hunger in Perquimans County.
The new location will be at the former site of the Highway 55 restaurant at 293 Creek Drive in Hertford. The purchase of the building is complete, but some remodeling will need to be done before serving our clients at the new location. Services will continue at the current location until the new location is ready. A formal announcement will be made at that time.
